About
California Central Coast Chapter USGBC (C4) is a collaborative effort of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties to form a regional U.S. Green Building Council Chapter to address the unique environmental opportunities and challenges specific to that bioregion. This collaboration has emerged from a 15 year history of increasingly overlapping, and shared efforts toward the common goal of creating sustainable communities in the context of our shared scenic landscape of smaller urban areas surrounded by agricultural lands and coastal boundary.

USGBC Guiding Principles
USGBC’s Board of Directors has articulated “guiding principles” that will help us all—members, staff, volunteers, chapters—with the decisions we make every day about USGBC and its programs. In an industry predicated on innovation, the principles provide us with clarity and continuity, while also giving us the flexibility to grow and respond to a rapidly changing market.
